I think a lot of women will see themselves in this story.
You become a mom. A wife. You build a life you love. And somewhere between taking care of everyone, keeping everything running and just getting through the busy years, you start to disappear a little.
Not completely. You’re still in there. You just haven’t seen her in a while.

That’s what I love so much about this experience. Sometimes boudoir isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about finding your way back to yourself.
Here’s her story.
“I reached out to BE’s on a whim. I saw an ad on Facebook and said I was interested because it was always something I’d had in my head as a thing I’d like to do but had never actually acted on before. A few days later, Brin called me and asked me about why I wanted to do a boudoir shoot. It surprised me that when I started talking about it I got really emotional. I’m a 39 year old mom of 3 (10y/o, 7y/o and 5y/o) who has been married for 11 years and somewhere along the way I lost a little bit myself. While talking to Brin I came to the realization that doing this was a way to get a little bit of me back. It was a way to look at myself as not just a mom or wife but as my own, confident self again.

Fast forward a few months and now it’s the day of my session. I’m driving to the studio and I get SO NERVOUS; I got sweaty, my stomach cramped, I was doubting if this was a good idea. Then, I walked in to the studio and instantly felt at ease. Brin made me feel so comfortable and everything inside was so nice, it made me excited again to see what I would look like once it was all done. After going through her amazing closet of options we got to work. I never once felt embarrassed or awkward. The whole time Brin was amazing and coached me in the best way to pose and she took the time to make sure my hair (and everything else) was laying right. Once we were done, I only had to wait around 2 hours before she was showing me the catalogue of shots to choose from.

Brin’s talent is amazing – I have never felt so beautiful or had such a hard time figuring out which pictures to choose. Very long story short, I strongly recommend making the leap and booking with BE’s if you’ve been wanting to do boudoir photography.
I’ll finally stop rambling with this quote from Moira on Schitt’s Creek “Take a thousand, naked pictures of yourself now. You may currently think, ‘Oh, I’m too spooky.’ Or, ‘Nobody wants to see these tiny boobies.’ But, believe me, one day you will look at those photos with much kinder eyes and say, ‘Dear God, I was a beautiful thing!’ …”
“I’ve never felt so beautiful.”

That’s what this is about. Seeing yourself outside of all the roles you carry and remembering that you are still in there too.
